Sabah: Myne Hotel - 1st Day

It was a long awaited planned holiday which finally took place.
We arrived on 15th May 2010 (Sat).

There was a major setback on our flight schedule. We were suppose to take our flight in the morning about 10am but was postponed at noon. And the worst part was the transport to get us there were also delayed due to traffic.
Thank God we just managed to get on the flight just on time. Another few minutes and we would have totally missed our flight and the whole trip might have cancelled.
Somehow the rushing moments in arriving at the airport had given a burst of adrenaline thrust in our system.

We had just got our composure and the next thing we know, we are already touching Sabah.

These are the snapshots taken at the Myne Hotel vicinity,
located at Warisan Square (sort of a shopping mall at Grd. floor area)

Our little group: 2 couples
Pas. Daniel & Sis. Mary and us (My wife & I)

Sabah: Waterfront - Seaside walk (1st Day)

We took a stroll at the seaside, just opposite of the hotel we were staying. The long stretch of wooden furniture adorn the seaview. I guess it would be very relaxing in the evenings.
(or perhaps during the morning - when the sun rises)

We had a little adjustment to make with our time zone until the few days.
(it seemed or feel an hour faster than our usual time zone)

Sabah: SeaFood Restaurant (1st Day)

We took a walk all the way to Kampung Ayer. (almost took us about 30 min)
Somehow we manage to find our way there in the midst of heavy traffic.
(a little scary for city folks like us too - walking around in unknown areas)

We found this food court area that serves seafood.
And of course, its expensive.
So, we decided to catch some lobsters (literally) and so you see it here (in the photographs)

Sabah: Nite Market (1st Day)

We took a walk back and decided to go back to Waterfront Explanade to discover the night market here. We were told that they also serve seafood here and its much cheaper compared to most restaurants.

I managed to get a juiced avacado (not to the taste which I was expecting)
Well, its was some discovery - a regular simple nite market.
Still, I find this place expensive. (compared to KL price)

Sabah: Meridien Hotel

We decided to stop by and check out this place. Meridien Hotel.
They have a very cool place. We came back again the next night and decided to enjoy the evening with the entertainers who sang all the beautiful songs
(too bad, the pictures didn't turn out well - not uploaded here)

Later, we went for a midnight movie "Iron Man 2"
sort of scary also (again) walking in the middle of the night in this foreign land.
I must tell myself not to that again for safety reasons.
